Developer Grinding Gear Games unveiled a new trailer at E3 2023 Exile Path 2continuation of the cult classic dark fantasy action RPG The path of exile.
The trailer shows the wizard fighting his way through an army of malevolent cultists, firing arcs of lightning on his way to battle a powerful abomination.
reminds Diablo 4The path of exile offers a more in-depth experience than its Blizzard Entertainment counterpart. The original offers famously extensive talent trees, full of a dazzling range of decisions for players to make.
Though clearly in the realm of dark fantasy Exile Path 2 stands out Diablo 4a distinctive art style focusing on terrifying horror ripped straight out of HP Lovecraft rather than Diablo’s more biblical themes.
If Grinding Gear Games can meaningfully replicate the core elements of the genre, their upcoming title may very well earn a spot among the best RPGs of recent years.
Anyway, Exile Path 2 will be a real treat for action RPG fans, offering the classic kill-loot-repeat threesome along with the usual gear-collection capabilities and ruthless character optimization.
Grinding Gear Games, owned by the Chinese media giant Tencent, released the original The path of exile long ago in 2013. Since then, the game has had many updates. Exile Path 2 stands for version 4.0 of the original title, which has received over 30 major updates since its first release.
The series is loved and is something of a cult classic loved by a passionate fan community.
