Forza Motorsport: gameplay
Forza Motorsport looks like a racing simulator as clean as it gets, giving you a big update on what Forza Motorsport 7 offered. For starters, it will be a “huge generational leap” from previous games. Chris Esaki, the game’s creative director, shared details on how to do this Forza MotorsportPhysics has evolved since Forza Motorsport 7 while Forza Monthly stream (opens in a new tab) in May 2021
“To put the physics in perspective…the changes we’ve made since Forza Motorsport 7 so far are more than the changes we’ve made since [Forza Motorsport] 4 by [Forza Motorsport] 7,” Esaki said during the broadcast. “It’s basically a huge generational leap in the game.”
According to Esaka, the tire collision model has also been reviewed. From the first game to Forza Motorsport 7the tires always had a single point of contact with the track surface and refreshed at a rate of 60 cycles per second (60 Hz).
IN Forza Motorsport, there are now eight points of contact with the track surface, and the engine refreshes at a rate of 360 cycles per second (360 Hz). That’s a 48x leap in fidelity in a single tire crash. Multiple tire compounds have also been confirmed, series first. Tire compounds such as hard, medium, and soft will deepen the gameplay and racing strategy, and Esaki said this will lead to “exciting new gameplay decisions during the race.”
In addition, Forza Motorsport is to offer the most realistic and immersive sound of all the installments of the series so far, as the game’s sound has been natively mixed for Dolby Atmos and Windows Sonic. There will also be new features such as regional track announcements and installed updates creating different sound profiles for your car reflecting the parts fitted.

Turn 10 ma he said (opens in a new tab) this list will feature the most modern cars the series has seen so far.

Turn 10 used a spectrophotometer that “captures multiple data points about the behavior of light on a surface” to apply the paint Forza Motorsport cars look more realistic. Cars will also collect dirt more realistically and damage will be more authentic – both of which will have a unique effect on each vehicle.
