Leaks around the iPhone 15 are popping up fast and thick at the moment, with the latest photos revealing the most expensive iPhone 15 Pro Max model – and there are a few changes from the current model worth talking about.
These renders are courtesy of a famous tipster Ice Universe (opens in a new tab)and we can look at the iPhone 15 Pro Max from almost every angle imaginable. The images are apparently based on schematic information that Apple has provided to its supply chain partners.
Interestingly, the same leak refers to the “iPhone 15 Pro Max (or iPhone 15 Ultra)” – we previously thought the iPhone 15 Ultra could be a completely separate model, but the implication is that it will be renamed ProMax.

Camera bumps
There are no huge changes to the design of the iPhone 14 Pro Max, although the case is more curved than before. The height and width are said to be slightly less on the 2023 model, while the thickness has increased slightly. However, we are talking about fractions of millimeters here.
These fractions appear to apply to the rear camera bulge as well, with the bulge on the iPhone 15 Pro Max being slightly shallower than its predecessor. It looks like the camera bump will be a bit different on all iPhones this time around.
You can see that these images show the expected transition from Lightning to USB-C for the data and charging port, and there are gaps in the power and volume buttons – perhaps because Apple is using solid-state touch buttons this year.
Analysis: Leaky time for Apple
In the last few days alone, we’ve seen a lot of information about the upcoming iPhone 15 series, something we imagine Apple boss Tim Cook isn’t too happy about. We’ve seen unofficial renders for both the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Plus, for example.
Additionally, we’ve seen real photos of a new USB-C port and rumors of a brand new dark red color that could be available as a special edition iPhone 15 Pro. And these are just leaks from the last week.
This must be a worry for a company that plays its cards as close to the chest as Apple, and we seem to be seeing more leaks than usual this time around. These phones are not expected to be fully unveiled for another seven months.
It shows how hard it is to keep anything a secret these days, especially when there are multiple partners and vendors involved – leaks can come from any one of them, and it’s hard for Apple to keep control of every link in the iPhone chain.
